Probiotics are microorganisms that beneficial to the host and can improve intestine's microflora. For ruminants in Indonesia, high numbers of cellulolytic needed utilize forage or agricultural waste as efficiently possible producing nutrients by livestock. Therefore, a feed additive is rumen function's performance, one them probiotics. Solid liquid probiotics have several advantages, namely containing live microbial cultures desirable for livestock through increasing balance digestive microbes playing role providing enzymes digest crude fibre lactic acid bacteria. also produce anti-microbial ingredients (bacteriocins) inhibit growth unfavourable microbes. The use microorganism supplements (probiotics) has been socialized Nagari Ampang Pulai, Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. efficiency using cattle rations much 10 ml/head/day expected increase body weight gain 0.70 kg/head/day, according an experiment at Faculty Animal Husbandry, Andalas University. In general, more effective additives when compared solid rice straw concentrate-based rations.
