چکیده
Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is one of the most important crops grown in world, but it can be attacked by more than 30 different pathogens. The areal Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) Goid., sunflower pathogens nowadays often found temperate regions, has been spreading over last few years due to climate change. effective eco-friendly method for controlling charcoal rot caused M. growing resistant cultivars. Due that, 24 commercially available hybrids and 70 inbred lines were tested tolerance a two-year trial. Under field conditions, two inoculation methods used - Unwounded Stem Base Inoculation (USBI) Toothpick (TP) method. This study identified five highly tolerant 12 that breeding programs improvement future genotypes. genotype screening tests indicated both should applied together provide reliable results, stem lesion length trait disease severity assessments.

A total of 360 bacteria, isolated from the rhizospheres of a system of rice intensification (SRI) fields, were characterized for the production of siderophore, fluorescence, indole acetic acid (IAA), hydrocyanic acid (HCN) and solubilization of phosphorus. Of them, seven most promising isolates (SRI-156, -158, -178, -211, -229, -305 and -360) were screened for their antagonistic potential again...

Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) Goid is a destructive pathogen of cowpea that causes serious charcoal rot disease with significant yield losses. Antifungal activity of three indigenous Ascomycetes viz., Trichoderma harzianum, T. viride, and T. hamatum, and two Meliaceae members, i.e., Melia azedarach L. and Azadirachta indica L. were assessed against the pathogen. Laboratory screening trials wi...

متن کاملSoybean seed composition in cultivars differing in resistance to charcoal rot ( Macrophomina phaseolina)
Seed composition in soybean [Glycine max (L) Merr.] has not been well investigated under charcoal rot infestation under irrigated and non-irrigated conditions. The objective of the present experiment was to assess seed composition and nitrogen fixation under these conditions. No significant differences in protein levels in the moderately resistant germplasm line DT97-4290 were observed under th...
