Au(III)-catalyzed tandem amination-hydration of alkynes: synthesis of α-(N-2-pyridonyl)ketones.
A new Au(III)-catalyzed tandem amination-hydration reaction has been discovered, leading to the formation of α-(N-2-pyridonyl)ketones and heterocyclic analogues in good to excellent yields (14 examples, 48-90%). This reaction demonstrates the unusual use of a heterocyclic sp(2) nitrogen nucleophile in a gold-catalyzed 6-endo-dig cyclization. The tandem process allows rapid access to α-(N-2-pyri...

Visible light promoted hydration of a wide scope of alkynes to ketones catalyzed by rhodium(III) porphyrin complexes was described. The key intermediate β-carbonyl alkyl was observed and independently synthesized. The rate of photolysis is over two orders of magnitude faster than that of the thermal process.
متن کاملCopper-catalyzed distannylation of alkynes.
A copper(I)-phosphine complex has been found to facilely promote the distannylation of alkynes with the aid of a base, where a catalytically generated Cu-Sn species serves as a key intermediate. The broad versatility of the copper catalysis has been demonstrated by the facile distannylation of unfunctionalized aliphatic alkynes, being hardly achievable with the conventional palladium catalysts.

متن کاملRhodium-catalyzed intramolecular alkynylsilylation of alkynes.
Rhodium-catalyzed intramolecular alkynylsilylation of alkynes is described. The reaction proceeds through syn-insertion by a cationic rhodium/triarylphosphine catalyst, representing the first alkynylsilylation of alkynes via the cleavage of a C(sp)-Si bond by transition-metal catalysis. A highly enantioselective variant is also described for the creation of a silicon stereogenic center.
