Sulfate resistance and phase composition of shotcrete

چکیده
Shotcrete is often in direct contact with groundwater containing sulfate. The resistance to sulfate attack of modern sprayed concretes produced non-alkali aluminate-based accelerators combination different cement types related their microstructure, transport properties, porosity and phase composition. A characterization these properties allows a comprehensive assessment the shotcrete identification relevant physical chemical influencing factors. As conventional concrete, type water binder ratio are also decisive for shotcrete. On one hand, capillary diffusion coefficient show cement-specific differences, accordingly solution uptake sulfur profile test specimen w/b different. other defines potential ettringite formation thus damage concrete. Sulfate expansion caused by conversion monocarbonate/hemicarbonate/monosulfate (AFm phases) ettringite. application sulfate-resistant cements does not guarantee each case. Their use, however, minimizes potential. In tests, causing drop dynamic modulus elasticity occurs at higher compared concrete due volume hardened paste smaller maximum aggregate size. studied alkali-free accelerators, currently used practice, found have no adverse effect on dosage investigated behave more favorably than aluminate based alkali-containing accelerators. However, influence indirectly permeability an increased

متن کاملEffect of Vanadyl Sulfate on Fructose-Induced Insulin Resistance Rat
Insulin resistance syndrome, also referred to as the metabolic syndrome or syndrome X, refers to a constellation of common metabolic and cardiovascular disorders (e.g. obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and dyslipidemia), which are all cardiovascular risk factors. Insulin resistance can be induced by fructose-rich diet in rats. We investigated the effect of vanadyl sulfate (0.2 mg...
متن کاملLaboratory testing of steel fibre reinforced shotcrete
Uniaxial and triaxial compression tests on steel fibre reinforced shotcrete (SFRS) have been used to quantify the elastic–plastic response behaviour for both the peak and post-peak regions. The laboratory tests were conducted with a servo-controlled testing machine to obtain complete stress–strain curves. The test results include unconfined and triaxial compressive strengths, shear strengths an...
متن کاملInfluence of the Constitutive Model for Shotcrete on the Predicted Structural Behavior of the Shotcrete Shell of a Deep Tunnel
The aim of the present paper is to investigate the influence of the constitutive model for shotcrete on the predicted displacements and stresses in shotcrete shells of deep tunnels. Previously proposed shotcrete models as well as a new extended damage plasticity model for shotcrete are evaluated in the context of 2D finite element simulations of the excavation of a stretch of a deep tunnel by m...
متن کاملEFFECT OF COMPOSITION ON PHASE EVOLUTION AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF REACTION BONDED MULLITE (RBM)
Compositions of Al2O3+Si, SiO2+Al and Al+Si systems were prepared to study the effect of reaction bonding process on the mullite formation. The composition of each system was adopted according to mullite stoichiometery and sintered in 700-1600°C range. Results showed that the formation of reaction bonded mullite starting from Al2O3+Si mixtures, proceeded in two partially overlapping steps, the ...
