Aphasia is a language impairment caused by acquired brain injury such as stroke. Public awareness about aphasia low in Sweden well internationally. The media an important source of information on aphasia, but research how people with are portrayed the scarce. Therefore, this study aimed to increase knowledge representations living studying Swedish journalistic newspaper articles. It focused stories which were included discussion rather than merely being subject discussion. Drawing framing theory and Frank’s typology narrative types, qualitative ethnographic content analysis was conducted. print material published between 2007 2018 collected 84 articles identified for inclusion analysis. overall finding that, within articles, framed success story. Themes sub-themes each type, we suggest expanding humour narratives necessity narratives. Although several types studied overarching story frame predominant.
