چکیده

SARS-CoV-2 infection presents clinical manifestations ranging from asymptomatic to fatal respiratory failure. Despite the induction of functional SARS-CoV-2-specific CD8 + T-cell responses in convalescent individuals, role virus-specific control replication remains unknown. In present study, we show that subacute can be controlled absence T cells cynomolgus macaques. Eight macaques were intranasally inoculated with 10 5 or 6 TCID 50 SARS-CoV-2, and three eight treated a monoclonal anti-CD8 antibody on days 7 post-infection. these macaques, undetectable day thereafter, while induced remaining five untreated animals. Viral RNA was detected nasopharyngeal swabs for 10–17 post-infection all kinetics viral levels pharyngeal plasma neutralizing titers comparable between mucosa and/or retropharyngeal lymph node obtained at necropsy 21 two group but antibody. may contribute infection, our results indicate possible containment cells, implying dysfunction not solely lead

Comparative Pathogenesis of Three Human and Zoonotic SARS-CoV Strains in Cynomolgus Macaques

The severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic was characterized by increased pathogenicity in the elderly due to an early exacerbated innate host response. SARS-CoV is a zoonotic pathogen that entered the human population through an intermediate host like the palm civet. To prevent future introductions of zoonotic SARS-CoV strains and subsequent transmission into the human population, h...

Specific CD8+ T cell responses correlate with control of simian immunodeficiency virus replication in Mauritian cynomolgus macaques.

Specific major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I alleles are associated with an increased frequency of spontaneous control of human and simian immunodeficiency viruses (HIV and SIV). The mechanism of control is thought to involve MHC class I-restricted CD8(+) T cells, but it is not clear whether particular CD8(+) T cell responses or a broad repertoire of epitope-specific CD8(+) T cell po...

A Review of the Mechanisms Involved in the Immunopathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2

Coronaviruses belong to the Coronaviridae family and three SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 pathogens are found in this family, all of which cause respiratory disorders in human beings. SARS-CoV-2 is a RNA virus of approximately 80-160 nm in size and genomic size of approximately 27-35 kb which causes COVID-19. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, dry cough, fatigue and muscle weakness, shortne...

Stability of SARS-CoV-2 in Different Environments and the Effect of Disinfectants on its Survival

In December 2019, the prevalence of a pneumonia with unknown cause was reported in China which was later named Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2. One of the most important ways of COVID-19 transmission is contaminated surfaces. In this review study, we investigated the stability of SARS-CoV-2 in air and on surfaces and the methods of preventing its spread R...
