چکیده
Plant materials as sources of medical compounds continue to play a dominant role in the maintenance human health since antiquity. The present study was designed ascertain toxicity ethanolic extract Senna tora leaves on Wistar rats. A total twenty (25) rats were distributed into 5 group animals each. Group I, received normal saline, II 100 mg/kg, III 200 IV 400 and V 800 mg/kg leaf fraction respectively. treatments lasted for 28 days which sacrificed. Kidney test includes electrolyte like Sodium ion (Na+), potassium (k+), bicarbonate (HCO3 ˉ) Chloride (Cl-), Urea Creatinine done. results revealed significant increase level sodium (Cl-) concentrations between within groups administered dose mg, 400mg mg when compared with Normal control. However, result also that there no concentration urea. In addition, is (p≤0.05) serum urea creatinine control group. There (p˃0.05) cholesterol (T.CHOL), high density lipoprotein (HDL), low (LDL), Triacylglycerol (TGs) treatment fraction. traditional herb management diseases associated kidney effective.
