STUDY THE SLOPE STABILITY OF EARTHEN DAM USING DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES

Slope stability is calculated using several methods. All these methods produce estimated results based on inaccurate assumptions, and their were particularly acceptable. Furthermore, rely supposing segmenting the surface of failure as well performing complex calculations. This paper introduces “Dimensional Analysis Technique” a new approach for dealing with earthen slopes. Four dimensionless groups (Formula presented) driven to calculate slope homogeneous filtered at downstream earth dam. Geo-Slope Geo-Seep software are used compute Factor Safety by Spencer’s method. The derived formula shows that upstream water levels match reasonably fit coefficient determination (R2) greater than .97. Results suggest Dimensional Technique safe direct method track natural slope. (Less)
