چکیده

Thirty-one A. baumannii isolates were obtained from Shar and Burn hospitals in Sulaimani City, KRG-Iraq. Bacterial identification was confirmed by detecting both 16S rRNA blaOXA-51 genes. The detection of carbapenem resistant carried out using Kirby- Bauer, RAPDEC Carba NP combined disc assays. A high rate drug resistance observed, as 74.2% the multidrug-resistant (MDR) 38.7% extensively drug-resistant (XDR), while carbapenem-resistant (CRAB) comprised approximately 58% isolates. Among CRAB isolates, carbapenemase production detected assays 88.8% (16/18) 55.5% (10/18) respectively. Phenotypic activity efflux pump among 22.5% all 38.8% PCR successfully identified adeA, adeB, adeC, adeR, adeS genes 83.9%, 90.3%, 58%, 80.6%, 90.3% respectively.
Eight mutations adeR 15 regulatory recorded. We conclude that mechanisms bumanni included adeRS carbapenemase.

Multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii--the role of AdeABC (RND family) efflux pump in resistance to antibiotics.

Acinetobacter baumannii is an opportunistic pathogen which play the more and more greater role in the pathogenicity of the human. It is often attached with the hospital environment, in which is able easily to survive for many days even in adverse conditions. Acinetobacter baumannii is the species responsible for a serious nosocomial infections, especially in the intensive care units. Option of ...

Multidrug-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii

To understand the epidemiology of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Acinetobacter baumannii and define individual risk factors for multidrug resistance, we used epidemiologic methods, performed organism typing by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), and conducted a matched case-control retrospective study. We investigated 118 patients, on 27 wards in Israel, in whom MDR A. baumannii was isolated fr...
