Study the hepatoprotective effects and oxidant-antioxidant status of beta vulgaris roots ethanolic extract in hepatotoxic rats induced by acetaminophen

The present study was done to investigate the therapeutic efficiency of Beta vulgaris roots ethanolic extract versus N-acetylcysteine (NAC) in overcoming experimentally induced hapatotoxicity rats by given double maximum dose Acetaminophen (N-acetyl-para-aminophenol (APAP) or paracetamol®) orally. experiment performed two parts: First part involved extraction using 90% solvent and detection main phytochemical constituents their concentrations% spectrophotometry analysis, while second determination understand effect on hepatotoxicity which administered more than recommended rats. Three treated groups male albino (12 each) dosing regimen as follows: Each group dosed twice daily (100 mg/kg B.W.) for 14 days follows regimen: Positive control group: Rats were at mg/kg) orally a day (50 morning evening followed weeks recovery.
