Background: The cardiac operative procedure has a significant relationship with acute onset of pain. After surgery, pain been managed the help opiate analgesics. Objective: To analyze adverse effects postoperative multimodal analgesia after surgery concerning physical and specific biochemical parameters undergoing patients. Materials & Methods: It was single-center, prospective study where patients were approached on day before their surgery. A total 120 post-cardiac at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital, Sirajganj included for this purpose. Results: In first group, three types used in 60 second five another About 76.7% male mean age 45.73 (± 11.3) years. Multimodal Pain Management Protocol Versus Patient Controlled Narcotic Analgesia for Postoperative Pain Control after Shoulder Arthroplasty
Background: Our institution’s traditional pain management strategy after shoulder arthroplasty has involved the utilization of postoperative patient-controlled narcotic analgesia. More recently, we have implemented a protocol (TLC) that utilizes a multimodal approach. The purpose of this study was to determine whether this change has improved pain control and decreased narcotic utilization. ...
متن کاملMultimodal analgesia for controlling acute postoperative pain.
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Multimodal analgesia is needed for acute postoperative pain management due to adverse effects of opioid analgesics, which can impede recovery; a problem that is of increasing concern with the rapid increase in the number of ambulatory surgeries. Yet, the literature on multimodal analgesia often shows variable degrees of success, even with studies utilizing the same adjuvant me...
متن کاملPostoperative pain management after ambulatory surgery: role of multimodal analgesia.
Multimodal (or balanced) analgesia represents an increasingly popular approach to preventing postoperative pain. The approach involves administering a combination of opioid and nonopioid analgesics. Nonopioid analgesics are increasingly being used as adjuvants before, during, and after surgery to facilitate the recovery process after ambulatory surgery. Early studies evaluating approaches to fa...

Recently, Interest to multimodal analgesia, using of two or more analgesics and modalities to treatment of postoperative pain is rising. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of celecoxib on pain and associated complications after lumbar disc surgery. In a randomized, doubleblind, placebocontrolled trial, 76 patients scheduled for elective laminectomy divided into two groups. Group A :...
متن کاملPatient controlled analgesia versus conventional analgesia for postoperative pain
Purpose: Patients may control postoperative pain by self-administration of intravenous opioids using devices designed for this purpose (patient controlled analgesia or PCA). This study set out to determine whether any of the two opioid administrations (i.e. PCA or conventional analgesia) would provide superior pain relief among patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy or not. ...
