Study on the Flow Characteristics of Desulfurization Ash Fine Particles in a Circulating Fluidized Bed

In view of the current status catalytic cracking flue gas treatment, it is necessary to study flow environment desulfurization ash particles, which are a type Geldart C particle, in circulating fluidized bed (CFB) for semi-dry desulphurization using CFB technology. This investigated characteristics particles riser with an inner diameter 70 mm and height 12.6 m, at velocity 4–7 m/s solids circulation rate 15–45 kg/m2·s. The holdup axial distribution relatively high near bottom riser, gradually decreases as increases, stable value from middle top riser. radial distribution, low center wall region. Within above operating conditions, ranges 0.008 0.025. particle-based Archimedes number has linear relationship all conditions.
