Abstract Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) with high specific strength, modulus, and other outstanding properties, which could be used in aerospace, shipbuilding, railway. The joint of carbon composite material plate metal plays an important role the overall performance structure. In this paper, a progressive damage model is developed based on laminate theory 3D Hashian theory. double bolt single lap shear connection established for CFRP finite element method to carry out stress analysis failure prediction effect structural under tensile conditions was studied through change spacing. results show that decrease row spacing can lead interference between holes. addition, located near center line hole.
