چکیده
An understanding of soil moisture variation patterns under different plant community structures is crucial for the restoration vegetation in southern China karst regions. Therefore, four structure types: arbor + herb (AH), shrub (SH), (ASH), and (H), were selected as research objects. A sensor was used to monitor content 0–70 cm layer, analyze characteristics explore differences types. The results indicate that: (1) total 31 species genera 18 families recorded, among which herbs most abundant. There significant diversity indexes ASH H. between Shannon–Wiener index Simpson AH H significant, SH Pielou statistically significant. significantly different. (2) water types, showing > ASH. consistent with trend rainfall, surface more sensitive rainfall events, deeper had a lag. positively correlated Margalef index. highly positive correlation 20–30 layer negatively (3) response types light rain event not obvious. growth rates 30–50 50–70 layers higher moderate than that heavy event, H, AH, larger events. provide reference effective utilization resources vegetation, well configuration decisions region.

Soil and plant effects on microbial community structure.
We investigated the effects of two different plant species (corn and soybean) and three different soil types on microbial community structure in the rhizosphere. Our working hypothesis was that the rhizosphere effect would be strongest on fast-growing aerobic heterotrophs, while there would be little or no rhizosphere effect on oligotrophic and other slow-growing microorganisms. Culturable bact...
متن کاملCommunity diversity, structure and carbon footprint of nematode food web following reforestation on degraded Karst soil
We examined community diversity, structure and carbon footprint of nematode food web along a chronosequence of T. Sinensis reforestation on degraded Karst. In general, after the reforestation: a serious of diversity parameters and community indices (Shannon-Weinier index (H'), structure index (SI), etc.) were elevated; biomass ratio of fungivores to bacterivores (FFC/BFC), and fungi to bacteria...
متن کاملSpatial soil moisture scaling structure during Soil Moisture Experiment 2005
Soil moisture state and variability control many hydrological and ecological processes as well as exchanges of energy and water between the land surface and the atmosphere. However, its state and variability are poorly understood at spatial scales larger than the fields (i.e. 1 km2) as well as the ability to extrapolate field scale to larger spatial scales. This study investigates soil moisture...
متن کاملTemporal Variations in Soil Moisture for Three Typical Vegetation Types in Inner Mongolia, Northern China
Drought and shortages of soil water are becoming extremely severe due to global climate change. A better understanding of the relationship between vegetation type and soil-moisture conditions is crucial for conserving soil water in forests and for maintaining a favorable hydrological balance in semiarid areas, such as the Saihanwula National Nature Reserve in Inner Mongolia, China. We investiga...
متن کاملδC Characteristics of Soil Organic Carbon in Hilly Karst Area
To understand the effects of geomorphology and environment on the C character of soil organic carbon (SOC) in a hilly karst area, 26 soil samples were collected in 2008 in Nanchuan, Chongqing, SW China. The results showed that the δC-SOC values were between -18.66‰~-27.41‰, with the mean value of -23.3‰. The data firmly indicated that the modern soil organic carbon was the mixture of C3 and C4 ...
