Study on Precipitation Processes and Phase Transformation Kinetics of Iron Phosphate Dihydrate

The process of the phase transformation from amorphous to crystalline FePO4·2H2O was studied in this research. It found that Fe and P are predominantly present as FeHPO4+ FeH2PO42+ an induction period exists during transition monoclinic form. time required for were shortened with increased temperature. Phase could be kinetically described by Johnson–Mehl–Avrami (JMA) dynamics model. dissolution rate is rate-limiting step process. activation energy calculated 9.619 kJ/mol. results study provided more guidelines regulation precursors precipitation method.
