Study on Pore Structure and Mechanical Property of Expansive Soil under Different Dehydration Conditions

To study the influence of dehydration conditions on pore structure and mechanical property expansive soil, two experimental with high-temperature drying (temperature 50 °C-humidity 10%) humid 70%) were carried out. Taking remolded soil in province Anhui China as research object, this paper used mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to analyze size distribution samples under different duration. After these tests, their properties further obtained by uniaxial compression tests. The results showed that was various conditions. Under high temperature dry environment, volume large pores decreased first then increased time dehydration, while medium until stable. both a trend decrease kept did not change significantly compressive strength (UCS) environment reached highest 5th day slightly it stabilized. UCS 15th humidity changed little after continual dehydration. These tests dehydrated condition is higher than environment.
