چکیده
The study aims to isolate, identify, and determine the pathological characteristics of Flavobacteria columnarecausing disease in tilapia cultured Northern Vietnam. A total 138 samples suspected being infected with F. columnare were collected from 34 outbreaks at 21 farms Hoa Binh, Ha Nam, Hai Duong provinces. results showed that exhibited typical symptoms such as fibrous, silver gills, appearance silvery white spots on skin, fibrous fins. can occurr anytime, but focusing much damage winter-spring crop accumulative mortality rates 5-35%. 87 isolates retrieved fish samples; representative (1 isolate per outbreak) successfully identified by phenotypic, biochemical tests, PCR assays. Using TYES medium, grew yellow rhizoid colonies after 36-48 h culture. bacteria gram-negative, long filamentous, absorbed Congo red dye, produced flexirubin pigment, gliding motility, positive catalase oxidase tests. well a temperature 25-28°C, pH 7-8 NaCl concentration below 5‰. present provide critical information developing strategies for prevention control infection tilapia.

Hematology and Productive Performance of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Naturally Infected With Flavobacterium columnare
Columnaris disease is one of the main causes of mortality in tilapia rearing and is responsible for large economic losses worldwide. Hematology is a tool that makes it possible to study organisms' physiological responses to pathogens. It may assist in making diagnoses and prognoses on diseases in fish populations. The hematological variables of nile tilapia were studied in specimens with a clin...

15 صفحه اولIsolation and characterization of strains of Flavobacterium columnare from Brazil.
Flavobacterium columnare is an important pathogen of freshwater fish, implicated in skin and gill disease, often causing high mortality. An outbreak of skin disease in fingerling and adult Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (L.), cultivated in a recirculation system, was investigated. Four strains were isolated and characterized by biochemical reactions, enzyme production, fatty acid profile a...
متن کاملMapping of sox2 and sox14 in tilapia (Oreochromis spp.).
Sox genes encode transcription factors that are involved in a variety of embryonic developmental pathways. Sox2 and Sox14 are located on the same chromosomal arm in several mammalian and bird species and on the basis of comparative maps were suggested as candidate genes for the major sex-determining locus on tilapia LG3. We have sequenced the sox2 and sox14 genes in four tilapia species and map...
