Study on Calcium Carbonate Deposition of Microorganism Bottom Grouting to Repair Concrete Cracks

چکیده

Microbially induced calcium carbonate deposition (MICP) restoration technology has good effects and low environmental pollution compared with traditional methods, this been applied in actual projects. However, grouting components such as bacterial solutions are easily lost vertical cracks due to their viscosity well self-weight. In paper, were repaired using microbial mineralization by sealing the bottom of pressure grouting. Controlled tests designed based on three variables: crack width, presence or absence media crack, method. The results show that smaller easier it is achieve a seal. addition can improve repair efficiency. As amount increases, production gradually height thickness also increases. closure method not only reduce fluid, but shorten test period. This overcomes difficulty poses should be left plays an important role reducing costs shortening time.

An experimental investigation on drying kinetics of calcium carbonate

Calcium carbonate is a versatile mineral with diverse industrial applications. Drying is a necessary processing step in preparation of calcium carbonate product. Deep knowledge of drying kinetics is required in order to design an appropriate dryer. The main aim of the present study was to investigate the drying kinetics of calcium carbonate, experimentally. Thirteen empirical correlations with ...

CALCIUM PHOSPHATE CEMENT: STUDY OF (BETA-TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, DICALCIUM PHOSPHATE AND CALCIUM CARBONATE SYSTEM

Calcium phosphate cements (CPCs), using B-tricalcium phosphate (ß-TCP, Ca3 (P04)2), dicalcium phosphate (DCP, CaHP04), calcium carbonate (Ca CO3), and hydroxylapatite (HAp, Ca10(P04)6(OH)2) as powder cement and disodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HP04) solution as liquid component were prepared. After mixing the powder and liquid constituents, injectable and self-setting calcium phosphate cements (...

Potential of Applying Bacteria to Heal Cracks in Concrete

Concrete is a construction material that is used world-wide because of its first-rate properties. However, the drawback of this material is that it easily cracks due to its low tensile strength. As large costs are involved in crack repair, the potential of self-healing of these cracks by means of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) precipitating bacteria was investigated in this study. First, the surviva...
