Study on Braking Energy Recovery Control Strategy for Four-Axle Battery Electric Heavy-Duty Trucks

Regenerative braking can extend the driving range and reduce PM emissions from abrasion for battery electric heavy-duty trucks (BETs). The composite control strategy including torque distribution dynamic coordinated four-axle BET equipped with electromechanical system is studied. A segmented proposed to maximize energy recovery while ensuring stability. simulation results reveal that shows better comprehensive performance than two benchmark strategies, rate in different load states under CHTC-D above 40%. takes advantage of regenerative braking’s rapid response precise compensate deviations caused by hysteresis friction braking. For common mode transition conditions, correction advance switching timing are adopted enable motor obtain compensation ability. This method leads a slight loss energy, maximum deviation during process suppressed less 1.4 kN·m, jerk distance reduced accordingly, which great importance improving comfort safety.
