چکیده

Background: Amniotic fluid plays a major role in the fetal growth and development. It provides fetus with protective low resistance environment suitable for development, cushion against constricting confines of gravid uterus, allowing room movement protecting it from external trauma. The abnormalities volume can interfere directly development or may be an indirect sign underlying disorder such as hypoxia, neural tube defect gastrointestinal obstruction. Aim this study was to determine whether amniotic level 5cm less predictor adverse perinatal outcome terms distress, birth weight, APGAR score neonatal morbidity mortality. Methods: index (AFI) determined b-mode real time scanner linear transducer operated at 3.5 MHz. AFI estimation done by four quadrant technique supine position. summation measurement each represented centimeters patient. Fetal assessed respect weight gestational age; Apgar one five minutes; any other complications intrapartum postpartum during stay hospital maturity baby - condition discharge mother baby. Results: labor induced 28% women <5cm, out which 19 delivered vaginally 9 underwent LSCS failure induction. mean 2.61 kg our study. Maximum number babies i.e. 57% were between 2.1-2.5 kg. APGR 5 min 71% cases 8 21% cases. 8.63. Conclusions: used adjunct surveillance along methods identify high risks foetuses improve outcome.
