Study of Physio-chemical Properties of Soil in Various Land Use Systems of Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India

A study was carried out to evaluate the impact of various land use systems on physiochemical characteristics soil Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. The samples were collected from (normally cultivated land, plantation, forest, fruit and vegetable) at two different depths (0-15 cm 15-30 cm) analysed Soil Science - Water Conservation Laboratory Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Banaras Hindu University, Barkachha, Uttar Geographically, experimental site is located under tropical zone coordinates 16.4° N 81.0° E. obtained results showed that maximum bulk density (1.58 Mg/m3), particle (2.7 Mg/m3) lower depth cm, water holding capacity (49.70%) highest porosity (48.68%) in upper layer normally cultivation land. Forest had organic carbon content 0.77% 0.71% 0-15 respectively. Also, availability nitrogen (280.17 kg/ha), phosphorus (18.63 potassium (212.65 kg/ha) sulphur (8.64 mg/kg soil) reported Vegetable, respectively, cm), also all found depleting with increasing depths. this patterns considerable many properties. This have a great importance for improving standard produce, raising crop yields by greater percentage through nutrient management, appropriate conservation practices also, better prevention environment.
