چکیده
The scarcity of petroleum products is forcing renewable energy resources to be more attractive. Biodiesel an alternative fuel created through the transesterification vegetable oils and animal fats. most important biodiesel quality parameters are obtained by paying attention making a trade-off between reaction time temperature. presence contaminants in feedstock, such as water free fatty acids, or impurities final products, methanol, glycerine, soap, causes difficulties during this process. This research work has developed processes produce from Jatropha curcas. was extracted all blends were characterized determine physicochemical characteristics test methods ASTM 6571. emission indicate that B20 less than types oil samples. power torque outputs found better next baseline diesel fuel. smell smoke B40 spicy its density very little compared novel finding study increasing blend increases brake power, reduces brake-specific consumption.

Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends
The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...
متن کاملPerformance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with Cottonseed Oil Plus Diesel Oil Blends
aIn the present study a 4-stroke 5hp diesel engine was tested with Diesel oil plus cottonseed oil blends. The blends in different proportions (10 to 50 percent by volume) were tested at constant speed of 1500 rpm. The said engine is operated at different loads and characteristics like Brake power, Brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption etc. Engine performance for blends resulted in...
متن کاملEffect of Ignition Timing, Equivalence Ratio, and Compression Ratio on the Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Variable Compression Ratio Si Engine using Ethanol-Unleaded Gasoline Blends
This paper investigates the effect of ethanol-unleaded gasoline blends (E0,E10,E25,E35,andE65) computer interfaced, four-stroke single cylinder compression ignition engine. The said engine wasconverted to spark ignition and carburetion to suit ethanol fuel. A suitable provision was provided on theengine to vary the compression ratio thereby making the engine adaptable to operate at lowercompres...
متن کاملStudy of Performance Characteristics of Diesel Engine Fuelled with Diesel, Yellow Grease Biodiesel and its Blends
The feedstock used in our experiment for the production of biodiesel was Yellow Grease. The whole experiment was divided into two parts: Production and Testing. Production involves Transesterification of free fatty acids in yellow grease to form yellow grease alkyl esters. The process of testing involved calculation of the physio – chemical properties, acid value, density, kinematics viscosity ...
متن کاملEmission Performance of a Diesel Engine Running on Biodiesel Fuel at Different Compression Ratios
In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...
