چکیده

In this paper, aluminum coatings were prepared on a steel substrate by thermal spraying, and the corrosion morphology resistance of coating investigated salt spray immersion tests. The results showed that after three months tests, still exhibited surface without significant damage had good tolerance. Further effective protection can be achieved spraying with paint. After test, rate samples thicker was located between 0.002 mm/y 0.005 mm/y, only small amount products observed surface. coated tests maintained sufficient adhesion (17.07 MPa 19.25 MPa), highly reliable for substrate. general, reliability further improved painting Al coating. This provides more ideas transmission transformation equipment.

STUDY ON CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF COBALT NANO COMPOSITE COATINGS

Metal matrix nano composite coatings possess enhanced properties such as corrosion and wear resistance. This paper aims to study the corrosion behavior of pure Co and Co-BN nano composite coatings deposited with different particles concentration (5-20 g L-1) on copper substrates using electroplating technique. Morphology and elemental compositions of the coatings were investigated by means of s...

Zamzam Water as Corrosion Inhibitor for Steel Rebar in Rainwater and Simulated Acid Rain

Abstract—Corrosion inhibitors are widely used in concrete industry to reduce the corrosion rate of steel rebar which is present in contact with aggressive environments. The present work aims to using Zamzam water from well located within the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia 20 m (66 ft) east of the Kaaba, the holiest place in Islam as corrosion inhibitor for steel in rain water and simula...

Characterization of SiO2-TiO2 Coatings on 316l Stainless Steel Substrates

This paper reports nano-structured SiO2-TiO2 coatings using the sol-gel technique on 316L steel substrates. Nanoindentation, surface analysis and corrosion resistance tests were performed on different samples. The nanomechanical tests allowed to compare uncoated steel samples (Eavg = 193.24 GPa and mean hardness of 2.63 GPa and coated steel samples (Eavg = 287.38 GPa and mean hardness of 5.74 G...

Corrosion Behavior of Polypyrrole/Mesoporous Silica Nanocontainers Coatings on the Mild Steel

The idea of smart corrosion inhibition is basis on either inhibitor consumption where it is needed or reducing harmful matrix interaction with it. In addition, applying corrosion inhibitor in a coating causes many problems such as loss of inhibition capability, coating degradation, or both. A useful technique to overcome th...
