چکیده
Objective The aim of this work is to evaluate the effect transepithelial accelerated cross-linking (Epi-on CXL) on macular function and morphology in progressive keratoconus. Patients Methods study included 25 patients with keratoconus age ranged between 18 32 years. Epi-On Accelerated CXL was done for all cases. Evaluation performed 2 6 weeks postoperatively after (Epi-on) by Optical coherence tomography (OCT) multifocal electroretinography (mf-ERG). Results central foveal thickness (CFT) decreased from 165.1 ± 21.5 µm 163.4 24.2 164.8 23.9 postoperatively, no statistically significant difference. preoperative retinal response density (RRD) ring 1 (foveal area 2.8 degrees) 179.5 52.1 nV/deg2 preoperatively 134.7 43.2 146.7 41.6 weeks, respectively difference (p = 0.012), while other 4 rings showed insignificant >0.05) .On hand, implicit time latency (Pl) postoperative values rings. Conclusion There a minimal change Epi-on keratoconus, however, without any structural changes postoperatively. A longer follow-up period studies are recommended provide more information.

One-year follow-up of accelerated transepithelial corneal collagen cross-linking for progressive pediatric keratoconus
BACKGROUND Keratoconus typically presents in the teenage years and is more advanced in younger patients when compared with adults. In the present study, we aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of accelerated transepithelial corneal collagen cross-linking (ATE-CXL) in children with progressive keratoconus. METHODS In this retrospective consecutive study, 18 eyes were enrolled from 17 pediat...

We aimed to compare the effect of accelerated and conventional corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) on visual, refractive, and topographic parameters in patients with progressive keratoconus. Between December 2014 and February 2016, at Imam Khomeini Hospital, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Iran, we compared 37 eyes of 21 patients treated by conventional CXL (CCXL; 3 mW/cm2 in...
