In the last decade, use of renewable resources has increased significantly in order to reduce energetic dependence on fossil fuels, as they have an important contribution global warning and greenhouse gasses effect. Because that, research biofuels been years its characteristics match those conventional fuel's: solid biomass can be used instead coals, biodiesel could replace diesel. Research ignition properties considerably developed because amount industrial accidents related treatment (self-ignition, dust explosions, etc.). On other hand, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is becoming characterization technique it determine a wide spectrum properties, such kinetics, composition, proximate analysis, etc. This aims combine thermal by using TGA obtain elemental composition lignocellulosic compare results Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE) values test output, so relation between MIE found. To achieve this aim, samples from different origins used: oil palm wastes (empty fruit bunches, mesocarp fiber kernel shell), agricultural (straw chops) forestry (wood chips wood powder). Also, raw materials torrefied were compared. The hemicellulose/cellulose ratio was calculated compared flammability finding out that greater lower onset temperature (temperature at which pyrolysis reaction accelerates), minimum energy.
