Parchment impregnated Ba(II) molybdate artificial membrane was prepared by the ion-interaction method using BaCl2 and Na2MoO4 solutions. The characterized sophisticated instrumental techniques such as Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission (TEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)/Differential thermal (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) Energy dispersive (EDX) analysis. tested for its antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative (Escherichia coli Pseudomonas aeruginosa) Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) microorganism. effective fixed charge density of has been used individually to calculate theoretical bi-ionic potentials (BIP) compared with experimentally determined values potential. selectivity ions found K+>Na+>Li+ which on basis Eisenman-Sherry model selectivity, points towards low field strength groups joined matrix. Membrane conductance also determined. Â
