چکیده
An experiment was conducted at the High Intensity γ-ray Source (HIγS) facility Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory (TUNL) in Durham, NC, USA to measure cross-section of key astrophysical thermonuclear reaction 12 C(α,γ) 16 O by means its inverse photo-disintegration process. A high-intensity monochromatic beam interacted with CO 2 gas active volume Warsaw target TPC detector. The products were detected and their momenta reconstructed, so also determine angular correlations. Data collected 15 energies ranging from 8.51 13.9 MeV. Preliminary results are presented.

Actar Tpc: an Active Target and Time Projection Chamber for Nuclear Physics
One of the main challenges facing experiments with rare-isotope beams is the need to extract high quality data of key physical observables from extremely limited numbers of incident ions and ever decreasing production cross sections for nuclei furthest from stability. Experiments are performed in inverse kinematics and must rely on thick reaction targets but this is often with the cost of a sig...
متن کاملDeuteron photodisintegration with polarized photons at astrophysical energies
Following precise experimental studies at the Duke Free-Electron Laser Laboratory, we discuss photodisintegration of deuterons with 100% linearly polarized photons using a model independent theoretical approach taking together M1 and E1 amplitudes simultaneously. The isoscalar M1s contribution is also taken exactly into account. From the existing experimental measurement on doubly polarized the...
متن کاملSimulate Threshold Energies to Induce Photo-nuclear Reactions for Heavy Metals
Nuclear reactions take place within a probability that is proportional to cross section. The common unit of cross section is the barn b. Cross section can mathematically be defined as the number of light particles produced per unit time, per unit incident flux of photon (monoenergetic) beam or the incident particles, per target nucleus [1]. Sample activation is one of the nuclear techniques use...
متن کاملNon-adiabatic effect in electron screening in fusion reactions at astrophysical energies
We calculate the electron screening effect in low energy nuclear fusion reactions by taking non-adiabaticity of the tunnleing process into account. In order to investigate deviations from the adiabatic limit, we use the dynamical norm method, which has recently been developed by the present authors. Using d+D reaction as an example, we show that the screening energy never exceeds those estimate...
متن کاملCalculations of Nuclear Reactions of Astrophysical Interest Involving Unstable Nuclei
Nuclear reactions involving unstable nuclei play an important role in nucleosyn-thesis. Such reactions are mainly associated with explosive astrophysical scenarios occurring at the nal stages of stellar evolution. For many nuclear reactions involving unstable nuclei the direct reaction mechanism cannot be neglected and may even be the dominant reaction mechanism. For example, the direct{reactio...
