چکیده
Taxonomy of Spongipellis sensu stricto is revised based on morphological studies and DNA data. Here, the genus accepted as a member Meripilaceae, it contains five species. Of them, S. spumea, generic type, occurs in Europe, two species, ambiens (= Tyromyces sibiricus) variispora sp. nov., are found East Asia, profissilis comb. reported from Central Siberia Far Asia. The North-American occidentalis, reinstated separate species redescribed here historical material.

Re-evaluation of the Genus Antrodia (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) in Korea
The wood decay fungi Antrodia P. Karst. play important ecological roles and have significant industrial and economic impacts as both wood degraders and sources of pharmaceutical and biotechnological products. Although each Antrodia species has distinct morphological characteristics, the misidentification rate is especially high due to their simple morphological characters. A combination of morp...
متن کاملTaxonomy and phylogeny of white-rot polypores: case studies in Hymenochaetales and Polyporales (Basidiomycota)
This thesis deals with taxonomy of certain white-rot polypores placed for the most part in the genera Antrodiella, Cinereomyces, Junghuhnia and Steccherinum. With DNA-based phylogenetic analyses and morphological studies I and my co-authors showed that concepts of those genera and species within them need a major revision. Species of Antrodiella belong to at least 13 different genera, within Po...
متن کاملPolypores and genus concepts in Phanerochaetaceae (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
We explored whether DNA-phylogeny-based and morphology-based genus concepts can be reconciled in the basidiomycete family Phanerochaetaceae. Our results show that macromorphology of fruiting bodies and hymenophore construction do not reflect monophyletic groups. However, by integrating micromorphology and re-defining genera, harmonization of DNA phylogeny and morphological genus concepts is pos...
متن کاملSpecies diversity in the Antrodia crassa group (Polyporales, Basidiomycota).
Antrodia is a polyphyletic genus, comprising brown-rot polypores with annual or short-lived perennial resupinate, dimitic basidiocarps. Here we focus on species that are closely related to Antrodia crassa, and investigate their phylogeny and species delimitation using geographic, ecological, morphological and molecular data (ITS and LSU rDNA, tef1). Phylogenetic analyses distinguished four clad...
متن کاملElaphroporia ailaoshanensis gen. et sp. nov. in Polyporales (Basidiomycota)
A new poroid wood-inhabiting fungal genus, Elaphroporia, typified by E. ailaoshanensissp. nov., is proposed based on a combination of morphological features and molecular evidence. The genus is characterised by an annual growth habit, resupinate basidiocarps, becoming rigid and light-weight up on drying, a monomitic hyphal system with thick-walled generative hyphae bearing both clamp connection...
