Students’ Perceptions toward Corruption: Malaysian Evidence

Corruption devastates society and the country, stifling economic growth increasing poverty. As nation's hope, university students play a vital role in fight against corruption. However, prior studies on perceptions of corruption especially Malaysian context are very limited. Thus, this study aims to investigate toward among higher education institutions Malaysia. Using questionnaire survey 115 undergraduate program students, findings indicate that most them aware legal impact activities. results reveal recognize corrupt act when such activities involve considerable sum money or expenditures. Receiving amusement fees, gifts, kickbacks increase transaction efficiency still acceptable. Findings shed light policymakers administrators who have keen interest mitigating institutions.
