Students’ perceptions of the entrepreneurial culture in Finnish higher education institutions

The purpose of this study is to add the literature on entrepreneurial universities by investigating culture (EC) in higher education institutions (HEIs). authors investigate how students experience EC and which factors explain their perceptions EC. based a survey HEI Finland with 1277 responses. results show that formal institutional support institution-level activities have strongest impact students’ experienced According findings, has greater than student-driven activities. Furthermore, highlight encouragement teachers influence peer Accordingly, paper’s theoretical contribution lies its demonstration support, addition teachers, influences With regard practical implications, findings indicate that, if HEIs wish build an operate entrepreneurially, it vital teachers’ behaviour thinking. In addition, equal emphasis needs be placed observable artefacts clear, well-communicated organisational structures processes.
