Students’ Perception of the Blended Learning Method for Teaching Oral Pathology

Background: In the present Covid environment, blended learning methodologies helped students stay interested in their academic work and process. Our educational systems have undergone a revolution attributable to technology e-learning resources. this study, DREEM questionnaire was used assess students’ perceptions of satisfaction environment. We compared outcomes (end-of-course test results) an oral pathology course taught third-year dental by using method. Methods: A longitudinal observational study from March November 2021 conducted researchers at Fatima Jinnah Dental College Hospital Karachi, Pakistan, Department Oral Pathology. approach, interactive online lectures, recorded videos with post quizzes, cased-base discussions, concept maps individual presentations were integrated into curriculum. The paired sample t-test make above comparisons, p-value <0.05 considered significant. Results: There 50 (62.5 percent) females 30 (37.5 males. terms student environment content knowledge, scores group (35.59±4.84) significantly (p<0.001) higher conventional (30.86±3.53). Moreover, mean post-test score (20.25±2.16 [95% CI 19.7-20.7]) also than Conventional method (14.02±3.65 13.2-14.8]). Conclusion: current found that had positive effect on subject knowledge. They performed better end-of-course MCQ-based test. Keywords: Dentistry; Medical Education; Pathology; Distance Learning; Active Learning.
