Students’ Learning Status and Expectations with Online Distance Learning

The Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia, from the first wave March 2020 till to-date third has disrupted all formal face-to-face learning at levels of education. A shift teaching mode was necessary to any accessible and feasible online distance (ODL) platform. However, due lack technological equipment an unsupportive environment, students are still reluctant adopt learning, particularly rural areas. Furthermore, little known about readiness engineering Diploma level experience this new learning. This study looked into students' ODL status their expectations for educational decisions. Data collected three weeks a university southern region Peninsular Malaysia using Google Forms. analysed descriptively direct quotes open-ended section questionnaire were presented support descriptive analysis. data highlights need involve many stakeholders properly plan instructions effective technology-based outcomes research will help educators, government redesign restructure post-Covid-19 successful
