Students’ and examiners’ perception of feedback practices following OSCE in Uniport

The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) offers several opportunities for effective feedback to be given students improve their performance. This study aimed evaluate the practices following OSCE in University of Port Harcourt (Uniport). was descriptive research involving administration semi-structured questionnaires examiners Faculty Sciences and final year medical Uniport. Information sought centred on perception OSCE. Data analysed using statistics Chi-square. result showed that 114 participated study. There were 72 (63.16%) male 42 (36.84%) female with ratio 1.7:1. Ninety 49 (54.44%) males 41 (45.56%) females. Their mean age 25.42±2.36. significant differences between Uniport terms whether (P=0.009) when (P=0.0014) it is provided. Majority (58.49%) almost all (91.49%) reported resulted improved stud y about half claimed Feedback practice satisfactory some aspects deficient other aspects. Incorporate quality into process schools will skills development learning.
