Student approaches to creative processes when participating in an open-ended project in science

This study examines how students in primary school (grades five and six) displayed creative thinking while working on an open-ended science project, they included knowledge during the process. The findings show that approached process six different ways: (1) by adaptation, (2) transfer, (3) synthesis, (4) originality, (5) practicality, (6) need. Students were able to make use of from domain adapting throughout Transfer other domains, synthesis types ideas knowledge, originality mostly used exploratory phase.
