چکیده
Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) proved to be very durable in harsh environments, primarily because of the extremely low porosity matrix (uncracked). However, limited availability design standards is still a barrier widespread applications UHPC, together with knowledge its durability real (cracked) service conditions. In this paper, use tailored UHPC introduced, whose composition has been specifically designed achieve enhanced cracked state combined aggressive environments. Validation material and structural concept on full scale structure presented, reference tank intended contain geothermal water from cooling tower at power plant. This pilot was constructed using both ordinary reinforced concrete which called hereafter Ultra High Durability (UHDC), for comparative assessment purposes. Upon completion construction entering life, periodic validation tests have carried out validate assumptions check serviceability requirements. Results these tests, performed over span two years are reported detail paper concepts. The study highlights most important parameters that could affect performance structures during casting life. overall project framework presented as pioneer moving towards based durability-design approach structures.

Effect of Fiber Hybridization on Durability Related Properties of Ultra-High Performance Concrete
The purpose of the paper is to determine the influence of two widely used steel fibers and polypropylene fibers on the sulphate crystallization resistance, freeze–thaw resistance and surface wettability of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). Tests were carried out on cubes and cylinders of plain UHPC and fiber reinforced UHPC with varying contents ranging from 0.25 to 1% steel fibers and/or...
متن کاملUltra-High Performance Concrete: Mechanical Performance, Durability, Sustainability and Implementation Challenges
In this study, an extensive literature review has been conducted on the material characterization of UHPC and its potential for large-scale field applicability. The successful production of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) depends on its material ingredients and mixture proportioning, which leads to denser and relatively more homogenous particle packing. A database was compiled from vario...
متن کاملDurability of High-performance Concrete with Fly Ash
High-performance concrete (HPC) is usually produced using high quality materials. These high quality constituents drastically increase the initial cost of HPC, hence hindering its more widespread use. Therefore, the main goal of this research project was to produce a low cost enhanced performance concrete or even a low cost HPC, using low quality fly ash and locally available crushed aggregates...
متن کاملDurability of Fiber Reinforced Concrete of Marine Structures
The usefulness of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) in various civil engineering applications is indisputable. Fiber reinforced concrete has so far been successfully used in slabs on grade, shotcrete, architectural panels, precast products, offshore structures, structures in seismic regions, thin and thick repairs, crash barriers, footings, hydraulic structures and many other applications. This p...
متن کاملFeasibility of Reducing the Fiber Content in Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete under Flexure
In this study, the flexural behavior of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) is examined as a function of fiber length and volume fraction. Straight steel fiber with three different lengths (lf) of 13, 19.5, and 30 mm and four different volume fractions (vf) of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0% are considered. Test results show that post-cracking flexural properties of UHPFRC, suc...
