چکیده
Glasses in the system 24.5Na2O.24.5CaO.6P2O5.xSrO.(45-x)SiO2 have been studied composition region of x = 0–15 mol%. The as-prepared glasses are transparent and an amorphous network structure. On other hand, heat-treated transformed to opaque white glass-ceramic characterized by their highly crystalline Crystalline apatite (calcium phosphate, Ca3(PO4)2), wollastonite silicate, CaSiO3), strontium calcium phosphate [Ca2Sr (PO4)2) main well-formed species that played major role material bioactivity. Increasing SrO leads enhancing crystallite enhances hardness host glass matrix. change XRD spectra,31P NMR chemical shift, number upon increasing considered due modification Ca(PO3)2 involve Sr ions inducing Ca2Sr (PO4)2 one. Such play properties hardness.

Structural relaxation phenomena in silicate glasses modified by irradiation with femtosecond laser pulses
Structural relaxation phenomena in binary and multicomponent lithium silicate glasses were studied upon irradiation with femtosecond (fs) laser pulses (800 nm central wavelength, 130 fs pulse duration) and subsequent thermal annealing experiments. Depending on the annealing temperature, micro-Raman spectroscopy analyses evidenced different relaxation behaviours, associated to bridging and non-b...

متن کاملStress-corrosion mechanisms in silicate glasses
The present review is intended to revisit the advances and debates in the comprehension of the mechanisms of subcritical crack propagation in silicate glasses almost a century after its initial developments. Glass has inspired the initial insights of Griffith into the origin of brittleness and the ensuing development of modern fracture mechanics. Yet, through the decades the real nature of the ...
متن کاملStructural and Optical Properties of Sr-Modified Bismuth Silicate Nanostructured Films Synthesized by Sol Gel Method
In this work, the effects of strontium addition on the structure and optical properties of nanostructured bismuth silicate (Bi4Si3O12) thin films prepared via sol-gel were studied. At first, different sols containing the optimum ratio of precursors were synthesized, and then, the prepared sols were coated on the substrate via dip coating. The dip coated samples were dried at 100oC and, in order...
متن کاملX - Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy of Silicate Glasses
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is a powerful technique capable of providing unique information about the structural chemistry of glasses. However, inappropriate procedures for the preparation of sample surfaces or the lack of reliable methods to overcome electrostatic charging effects during analysis of dielectric materials can cause spurious features to be introduced or intrinsic featu...
