چکیده

Mastering the relationship between urban landmarks and space morphology in planning, landscape architectural design helps maintain intelligibility of compact districts. The objective present study was to numerically determine structural salience various an environment use it interpret city. Combining measurement method 3D visibility related principles syntax, this develops a new Node–Landmark Grid Analysis Model (3D NL GAM) for computation landmarks. In study, numerical approach is used construct simulation model. Firstly, each decision node environment, using digital model, measured isovist component Rhinoceros Grasshopper software. Secondly, links among wayfinding nodes are established form GAM. normalized angular integration choice computed principle syntax. Thirdly, determined with function landmark visibility, spatial properties landmarks, nodes. Finally, case carried out by GAM analyze three types areas located Changsha. results indicated that large-scale natural landscapes have higher combined combining tall low building groups has clear advantage over dominated high-rise groups. Raising height buildings can modify structure grid analysis model improve people aggregation space. quantify city effectively assist evaluation built or future environments.

Structural Salience as a Landmark

Visual and verbal communication of reliable route information depends on the identification of unique features in the environment. While current route information systems focus on easily accessible data, especially street names to achieve this goal, human navigators prefer landmarks. Everything that sticks out from the background can serve as a landmark (e.g., Presson & Montello, 1988). This si...

Public Participation Model In Unequal Urban Environment (Case Study: Vakil-Agha And Nobahar Districts In Kermanshah)

The spatial inequality of the environment arises as a planning problem when the spatial structure of the different districts of a city is distinctly different; Differences that require different programming solutions for different regions and meeting the objective of creating spatial equality in a city. Nobahar and Vaki-Agha are two districts with unequal urban space located in north and south ...

3D Facial Landmark Detection & Face Registration A 3D Facial Landmark Model & 3D Local Shape Descriptors Approach

In this Technical Report a novel method for 3D landmark detection and pose estimation suitable for both frontal and side 3D facial scans is presented. It utilizes 3D information by using 3D local shape descriptors to extract candidate interest points that are subsequently identified and labeled as anatomical landmarks. The shape descriptors include the shape index, a continuous map of principal...
