چکیده
Since the success of monolayer graphene exfoliation, two-dimensional (2D) materials have been extensively studied due to their unique structures and unprecedented properties. Among these fascinating studies, most predominant focus has on atomic structures, defects, mechanical behaviors properties, which serve as basis for practical applications 2D materials. In this review, we first highlight various structural energy features some common defects. We then summarize recent advances made in experimental, computational, theoretical studies properties mainly emphasized underlying deformation fracture mechanisms influences defects boost emergence development topological design defect engineering. also further introduce piezoelectric flexoelectric specific address coupling between electronic interactions crystals substrates or different monolayers heterostructures. Finally, provide a perspective outlook future

Atomic defects in crystalline structures have pronounced affects on their bulk properties. Aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy has proved to be a powerful characterization tool for understanding the bonding structure of defects in materials. In this article, recent results on the characterization of defect structures in two dimensional materials are discussed. The dynamic beha...

Tuning structural and mechanical properties of two-dimensional molecular crystals: the roles of carbon side chains.
A key requirement for the future applicability of molecular electronics devices is a resilience of their properties to mechanical deformation. At present, however, there is no fundamental understanding of the origins of mechanical properties of molecular films. Here we use quinacridone, which possesses flexible carbon side chains, as a model molecular system to address this issue. Eight molecul...
