Structural Conditions for Full Mhd Equations
In this paper, we investigate the characteristic structure of the full equations of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and show that it satisfies the hypotheses of a general variable-multiplicity stability framework introduced by Métivier and Zumbrun, thereby extending to the general case various results obtained by Métivier and Zumbrun for the isentropic equations of MHD.

Magnetic fields play an important role in the behavior of plasmas and are thought mediate important effects like dynamos in the core of planets and the formation of jets in active galactic nuclei and gamma ray bursts; induce a variety of magnetic instabilities; realize solar flares, etc. (see e.g. [1,2]). Understanding the role of magnetic fields in these and other phenomena have spurred throug...

Solutions of the d-dimensional generalized MHD (GMHD) equations @tu þ u ru 1⁄4 rP þ b rb nð DÞu; @tb þ u rb 1⁄4 b ru Zð DÞb ( are studied in this paper. We pay special attention to the impact of the parameters n; Z; a and b on the regularity of solutions. Our investigation is divided into three major cases: (1) n40 and Z40; (2) n 1⁄4 0 and Z40; and (3) n 1⁄4 0 and Z 1⁄4 0:When n40 and Z40; the ...
متن کاملGeneral conditions for full abstraction
A function f : S → T is fully abstract with respect to equivalences 'S and 'T on S and T respectively if, intuitively, f maps 'S to 'T. As discussed at length in (Gorla and Nestmann 2014), full abstraction has been used extensively as a correctness criterion when comparing models for concurrency. They point out that on occasion the mere existence of a fully abstract function has been considered...
