Structural Analysis of Ranikot Anticline, Southern Kirthar Fold Belt, Pakistan

In this paper, different applications of stereographic projections are utilized for the structural analysis Ranikot anticline. Structural data anticline from Southern Kirthar Fold Belt Pakistan is used to construct diagrams such as beta-diagrams, pi-diagrams and contour diagrams. These visualize inter-limb angle, plunge trend fold axis, dip strike axial surface, symmetry, vergence principle stress axes. This study shows that studied nearly N-S trending, open, shallow horizontal, asymmetrical, east-vergent Principle axis σ1 σ2 lie in profile plane while σ3 surface.
