Strong admissibility for abstract dialectical frameworks

چکیده

Abstract dialectical frameworks (ADFs) have been introduced as a formalism for modeling argumentation allowing general logical satisfaction conditions and the relevant argument evaluation. Different criteria used to settle acceptance of arguments are called semantics. Semantics ADFs so far mainly defined based on concept admissibility. However, notion strongly admissible semantics studied abstract has not yet ADFs. In current work we present strong admissibility interpretations Further, show that form lattice with grounded interpretation maximal element. We also algorithms answer following decision problems: (1) whether given is ADF, (2) acceptable/deniable in ADF. addition, forms proper generalization AFs.

Splitting Abstract Dialectical Frameworks

Among the abundance of generalizations of abstract argumentation frameworks, the formalism of abstract dialectical frameworks (ADFs) proved to be powerful in modelling various argumentation problems. Implementations of reasoning tasks that come within ADFs struggle with their high computational complexity. Thus methods simplifying the evaluation process are required. One such method is splittin...

Decomposing Abstract Dialectical Frameworks

We introduce a decomposition scheme for abstract dialectical frameworks (ADFs). The decomposition proceeds along the ADF’s strongly connected components. For several semantics, the decomposition-based version coincides with the original semantics. For others, the scheme defines new semantics. These new semantics allow us to deal with pertinent problems such as odd-length negative cycles in a mo...

ADFs generalise the abstract argumentation frameworks introduced by Dung by r...
