Strength of Onyx-based composite 3D printing materials according to fiber reinforcement

This study evaluates the mechanical strength of 3D-printed objects composite material. The material considered in this comprises onyx as base with glass fiber and carbon internal reinforcements. 3D printing using materials generally involves laminating reinforcements form layers within printed part. To analyze effect such on parts, specimens were prepared by varying number arrangement conditions reinforcement. analysis shows that tensile increases reinforcement due to fibers longitudinal direction a larger bonding area between Onyx fibers. Furthermore, higher is observed when are laminated at regular intervals than they arranged center. serves database for fiber-reinforced composites aiding future research comparing optimizing their according conditions.
