Strategic Trends in Management by Competencies: A Bibliometric Review

Purpose: The objective of this study was to present a current and exhaustive analysis the contributions studies carried out by experts regarding strategic management competencies as result bibliometric review. Theoretical framework: Recent literature, in last decade, has reported increase need for companies obtain sustainable competitive advantage. So, about trends becomes essential review all these works. Design/Methodology/Approach: conducted using SCOPUS database, examining 624 publications from 1966 2023. main findings show that only 21st century did idea people models stand scientific business scenario. Findings: evidence shows concept "management," 75% clusters found (high occurrence), strongly correlates with theme model competencies. symbiosis between them can become one most important strengths (competitive differential) significantly changing Research, Practical & Social implications: We suggest future research agenda highlight made other leaders human resource managers. Originality/Value: allows us identify been contributed elements their advances, order understand competency an integrated system evaluation improvement organizations and/or compose it.
