Core Ideas Switchgrass has various ecosystem benefits. cultivars Liberty and Independence were evaluated for steroidal saponins. Steroidal saponins detected in all leaf stem tissues of both cultivars. may reduce aboveground pests influence soil nutrient water dynamics.
