Stellar Parameterization of LAMOST M Dwarf Stars

چکیده
M dwarf stars are the most common in Galaxy, dominating population of Galaxy by numbers at faint magnitudes. Precise and accurate stellar parameters for dwarfs crucial importance many studies. However, atmospheric difficult to be determined. In this paper, we present a catalog spectroscopic ($T_{eff}$ [M/H]) $\sim$ 300,000 observed both LAMOST Gaia using Stellar Label Machine (SLAM). We train SLAM model spectra with APOGEE Data Release 16 (DR16) labels $2800 \lt T_{eff} 4500$K $-2 [M/H] 0.5$ dex. The $T_{eff}$ is agreement within $\sim 50$K compared previous study determined observation, agree 0.12 dex observation. also set up trained BT-Settl model, random uncertainties (in cross-validation) 60K 90$K study.

Rapid Formation of Gas Giant Planets around M Dwarf Stars
Extrasolar planet surveys have begun to detect gas giant planets in orbit around M dwarf stars. While the frequency of gas giant planets around M dwarfs so far appears to be lower than that around G dwarfs, it is clearly not zero. Previous work has shown that the core accretion mechanism does not seem to be able to form gas giant planets around M dwarfs, because the time required for core forma...
متن کاملThree newly-discovered M-dwarf companions of Solar Neighbourhood stars
We present low-resolution spectroscopy of newly-discovered candidate companions to three stars in the Solar Neighbourhood. All three companions are M dwarfs, with spectral types ranging from M4 to M9.5. In two cases, G85-55‘B’ (M6) and G87-9‘B’ (M4), we have circumstantial evidence from spectroscopy, photometry and limited astrometry Portions of the data presented here were obtained at the W.M....
متن کاملRapid Formation of Super-Earths around M Dwarf Stars
While the recent microlensing discoveries of super-Earths orbiting two M dwarf stars have been taken as support for the core accretion mechanism of giant planet formation, we show here that these planets could also have been formed by the competing mechanism of disk instability, coupled with photoevaporative loss of their gaseous envelopes by a strong external source of UV radiation, i.e., an O...
متن کاملParameterization of stars
Stellar and Galactic astronomy will be revolutionized by the massive surveys now taking place, or in the planning stages. These surveys include ground-based projects (Pan-STARRS, RAVE, SDSS/SEGUE, etc.) and space-based (Gaia), but all have a common theme, to collect data that will enable the determination of the physical parameters of stars with the goal of unravelling the structure and evoluti...
متن کاملComplex stellar populations in massive clusters: trapping stars of a dwarf disc galaxy in a newborn stellar super-cluster
Some of the most massive globular clusters of our Milky Way, such as for exampleω-Centauri, show a mixture of stellar populations spanning a few Gyr in age and 1.5 dex in metallicities. In contrast, standard formation scenarios predict that globular and open clusters form in one single star-burst event of duration ∼ 10 Myr and therefore should exhibit only one age and one metallicity in its sta...
