چکیده
Abstract This study investigates the influence of local hybridization Thin and Thick-Ply CFRP laminates on open-hole bearing properties. The area weight unidirectional prepregs used is 40 gsm in case Thin-Ply layers 160 gsm layers. steel a 1.4310 stainless-steel foil with same layer thickness as prepregs. In hybrid area, 90 ∘ were locally replaced by stainless patches. metal content varies from 6.25%, 12.5% to 25.0%. For notched laminates, open hole tensile strength significantly decreased thinner thicknesses. failure behavior changes complex delamination dominated brittle failure. By using foils regions stress concentrations, energy can be dissipated plastic deformation stresses deflected neighbouring areas. samples 25% increases 64% comparison reference specimens sensitivity towards concentrations decreases. increased up 54.6% material, due confinement resulting higher compressive at high stresses. stress–strain diagrams micrographs fibre reveal that damage initiated before maximum strength. However, offset increase concerning specific density material significantly.

bond strength of reinforcement steel in self-compacting concrete
self-compacting concrete (scc) is a highly fluid yet stable concrete that can flow consistently under its own weight, pass between bars, and fill in formwork without the need of compaction. the application of scc effectively resolves the difficulties of concreting in situations with complicated formwork and congested reinforcements. in this paper, the bond between scc and steel reinforcement wa...
متن کاملImproved Material Models for High Strength Steel
The mechanical behaviour of the three advanced high strength steel grades, Docol 600DP, Docol 1200M and HyTens 1000, has been experimentally investigated under various types of deformation, and material models have been developed, which account for the experimentally observed behaviour. Two extensive experimental programmes have been conducted in this work. In the first, the dual phase Docol 60...

Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) is a special type of HPFRCC designed using micromechanics concepts which take into account the mechanical interactions between fiber, matrix and interface in deformation processes under load. While the properties of ECC have been extensively investigated, the interaction between ECC and steel reinforcement has not been studied. This interaction is importa...
متن کاملHigh Strength Concrete Columns under Axial Compression Load: Hybrid Confinement Efficiency of High Strength Transverse Reinforcement and Steel Fibers
Addition of steel fibers to high strength concrete (HSC) improves its post-peak behavior and energy absorbing capability, which can be described well in term of toughness. This paper attempts to obtain both analytically and experimentally the efficiency of steel fibers in HSC columns with hybrid confinement of transverse reinforcement and steel fibers. Toughness ratio (TR) to quantify the confi...
