Steam Gasification in a Fluidized Bed with Various Methods of In-Core Coal Treatment

The aim of this work is to study coal steam gasification with various methods in-core treatment in FB using a newly developed thermodynamic calculation method. A calculational subbituminous non-catalytic was carried out four different single-vessel multisectional fluidized-bed gasifiers. semi-empirical model based on the entropy maximization method and “restricted equilibria” previously obtained experimental data has been developed. Based calculations, effect leading thermochemical processes operating parameters fluidized bed (temperature, fluidization number, steam/coal ratio feed rate) revealed. New information regarding composition char syngas at gasifier outlet, heating value, cold gas efficiency Borodinskiy char. results indicate possibility significantly accelerating improving gasifiers through appropriate organization treatment. obtained, following recommendation made—when designing multi-section multi-vessel steam-blown gasifiers, residence times should be set favor increasing time carbonization zone. Structurally, can achieved by volume and/or area section (vessel).
