Students with Specific Learning Disabilities, tend to have low academic performance because of the cognitive disorders and deficits their working memory, as well executing fuctions like these processing - organizing recalling information. Development Metacognitive skills, those that presented by Drigas & Mitsea (2020), 8 pillars Metacognition, such self-Awareness, self-Monitoring Self-Regulation, helping students recognize weaknesses introduce strategies tactics will assist them compensate deficits, becoming more flexible adapt any changes coming up, better. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) education involves in process, via a multifaceted multi-sensory approach develop Meta-cognitive Skills, control way they learn while building up necessary knowledge, order secure equal career opportunities. As result, independence self-esteem being boosted preparing come against 21st century challenges.
