چکیده

Abstract The major drawbacks of a railway track include noise, vibration, and aggravated degradation. Resilient mats asphalt have been increasingly used in recent years to mitigate this noise vibration. However, these materials are quite expensive. Conventional is very stiff brittle, making it more prone cracking. present work aims develop novel material that can be as base layer ballasted slab tracks. current research proposes sustainable resilient course comprising ground rubber (GR) polyurethane foam adhesive (PFA). In study, the performance GR embedded sand investigated. use PFA-treated with without then explored. optimum dosage PFA for soil treated untreated recommended based on static direct simple shear (SDSS) cyclic (CDSS) tests. SDSS tests were performed evaluate monotonic all mixtures. CDSS assess long-term different mixes under repeated loading (50,000 load cycles) varying stress amplitude. It shown helps reduce settlement enhance strength, while increases damping ratio soil. 10%. content 5 10%, respectively.

Characterization of Hot Bituminous-Asphalt Mixtures with Recycled Polyurethane Foam

Received: June 06, 2017 Revised: July 05, 2017 Accepted: July 19, 2017 Abstract: Introduction: The use of polymer wastes in pavement as road is an increasing trend in the road construction sector. Those new pavements reduce the amount of solid waste disposed into landfills and provide more sustainable construction due to the use of in-situ materials. Polyurethane foam waste is a thermostable po...

Anisotropic polyurethane foam

Anisotropic polymer foams have been prepared, which exhibit a Poisson's ratio exceeding 1, and ratios of longitudinal to transverse stiffness exceeding 50. The foams are as much as 20 times stiffer in the longitudinal direction than the foams from which they were derived. The transformation process involved applying a uniaxial stress sufficient to produce 25% to 45% axial strain to open-cell po...

Ethylene Biosynthesis and Accumulation under Drained and Submerged Conditions

A model i s presented of the regulation of ethylene biosynthesis in relation to submergence and flooding resistance. It i s based on t ime-come measurements of ethylene production, ethylene accumulation, and concentrations of free and conjugated 1 -aminocyclopropane-1 -carboxylic acid (ACC) in submerged and drained flooding-resistant Rumex palusfris Sm. and flooding-sensitive Rumex acefosella 1...

Soil-Structure Interaction of Buried Pipes Under Cyclic Loading Conditions

The safety of lifelines, as the most important urban facilities, under different conditions highly depends on the safe design and performance of these buried structures. This cannot be achieved unless their actual behaviors are well understood and considered at the designing stage. A new physical model was developed in Amirkabir University of Technology to study the behavior of buried pipes und...

Performance of Air Foam Flooding under Low Frequency Vibration

Foam injection is widely applied in amounts of fields to drilling, production, and formation protection. Sometimes, the application result is disappointing, which is caused by the failure of bubble generation in foam flooding. Therefore, it is necessary to seek ways for improving the performance of foam injection. An increased disturbance to the stratum, like the vibration caused by a seismic o...
