State identification for labeled transition systems with inputs and outputs

چکیده
For Finite State Machines (FSMs) a rich testing theory has been developed to discover aspects of their behavior and ensure correct functioning. Although this frequently used, e.g. check conformance protocol implementations, its applicability is limited by restrictions FSMs, in which inputs outputs alternate, are determined the previous input state. Labeled Transition Systems with (LTSs), as studied ioco theory, provide richer framework for component oriented systems, but lack algorithms test generation from FSM theory. In article, we propose an algorithm fundamental problem state identification during LTSs. Our direct generalization well-known computing adaptive distinguishing sequences FSMs proposed Lee Yannakakis. deal so-called compatible states, states that cannot be distinguished. Analogous result Yannakakis, prove if exists distinguishes all pairs (incompatible) LTS, our will find one. practice, such perfect tests typically do not exist. However, experiments implementation on collection (both academic industrial) benchmarks, produced still distinguish at least 99% incompatible pairs.

State-event Observers for Labeled Transition Systems
In many Discrete-Event Systems (DES) both state and event information are of importance to the systems designer. As a first step towards obtaining hierarchical models of systems, the behavior of Discrete-Event Systems with unobservable transitions and state output maps is considered. Observers for deterministic DES are generalized to nondeterministic DES and characterized using the join semilat...
متن کاملMonotone Systems with Inputs and Outputs
Monotone systems constitute one of the most important classes of dynamical systems used in mathematical biology modeling. The objective of this paper is to extend the notion of monotonicity to systems with inputs and outputs, a necessary first step in trying to understand interconnections, especially including feedback loops, built up out of monotone components. Basic definitions and theorems a...
متن کاملRefusal Testing for Classes of Transition Systems with Inputs and Outputs
This paper presents a testing theory that is parameterised with assumptions about the way implementations communicate with their environment. In this way some existing testing theories, such as refusal testing for labelled transition systems and (repetitive) quiescence testing for I/O automata, can be uniied in a single framework. Starting point is the theory of refusal testing. We apply this t...
متن کاملDEA Models with Interval Scale Inputs and Outputs
This paper proposes an alternative approach for efficiency analysis when a set of DMUs uses interval scale variables in the productive process. To test the influence of these variables, we present a general approach of deriving DEA models to deal with the variables. We investigate a number of performance measures with unrestricted-in-sign interval and/or interval scale variables.

Evaluation of performance and productivity is among the fundamental concepts inmanagement. In order to achieve their goals, organizations must evaluate theirperformance. One of the important stages of performance appraisal is evaluation oforganization’s efficiency. Banks, financial and credit institutions are among the mostimportant organizations of every economic system, because every activity...
